Rudder

One day we had a huge storm, which broke the rudder of the boat, the waves were terrible … But my father said ‘‘wait, if that is what God wants, wait until the storm passes.’’ We had to stay two or three hours with the boat without being able to start the engine, we stayed rudderless, it was very violent. The only thing that helped us is a bucket that I attached to the bottom and which served as a rudder.
