After a brief step at gallery G-MK in Zagreb, the maelström settled at the Centre de la Photographie in Geneva in September 2017,with an installation combining photographic documents, investigation narratives, video projection and drawings. On a 60 meters long shelf, runing across the whole exhibition, were presented 80 extracts from the testimonies collected. In the last room, a large table was hosting the program of live events covered by webradio *DUUU.

The program included a litterary interpretation workshop proposed by theoretician Yves Citton,  a conference by historian of science (and specialist of Edgan Allan Poe) John Tresch, as well as a writing workshop directed by philosopher Emilie Hache to re-scenarize Poe’s short story in an ecofeminist perspective.

Jeudi 14 septembre de 17h à 18h30: « Le maelström comme cosmogramme », conversation avec John Tresch (historien des sciences, spécialiste d’Edgar Allan Poe, Philadelphie)

Samedi 16 septembre de 15h à 17h: « Re-scénariser le maelström », atelier d’écriture éco-féministe avec Emilie Hache (philosophe, Paris)

Dimanche 17 septembre à 15h: Lecture de la nouvelle “A descent into the maelström” par Gene Ray (théoricien, auteur de nombreux essais sur le sublime, la terreur et la crise de la biosphère, Athènes/Zurich)
